Spanish Wells Plantation lies on a peninsula between Broad Creek and Calibogue Sound, where Spaniards on their way to Florida once landed in search of fresh water. This community features some of Hilton Head Island's largest homes, most with views of the water, and many on deep-water lots with private docks. This 350-acre community includes a nine-hole private golf club and swimming pool complex.
